Years ago it was inherited by Jeanne Daniels from Houston. She was an animal rights activist who had made a decision to eliminate all stores that had interest in selling leather or beef to consumers in the area.This actually ruffled the feathers of some of the locals, and made some of the business men very angry and disturbed. Today you will find Nu Age Cafe, which has an all vegetarian menu, and my favorite FoodFood, a deli with all kinds of amazing creations from deviled eggs to tuna melts, to bean and cheese empanadas.
